Pat Gradoville
Pat Gradoville, Certified Golf Course Superintendent, earned his B.S. Degree from Iowa State University in Turfgrass Management. Pat has worked on 2 continents in golf course construction, serving as Project Manager and Grow-in Superintendent.
Prior to starting GHMG, he was Director of Course & Grounds at Palos Verdes Golf Club for 23 years. Over his career, Pat has managed $100M+ of golf course construction. He is an experienced project manager, anticipating and mitigating risks commonly seen in the industry.
Right now, Pat is focused on a diverse set of projects ranging from acting as the Owner's Representative on a newly aquired course to overseeing a multimillion dollar renovation to a transformative rebuild of a public 9 hole course. ​With a commitment to excellence and a passion for the game of golf, Pat continues to innovate and lead in the field of golf course management. His extensive experience make him a trusted leader in the industry, dedicated to creating and maintaining world-class golfing environments.​​​​​

Robert Hertzing
Robert Hertzing holds a B.S. in Turfgrass Management from Cal Poly, Pomona, and brings almost three decades of leadership experience in both the for-profit and private-club sectors of the golf industry. He began his career as Superintendent at Valencia Country Club, where he led course preparations for multiple PGA Champions Tour events.

Robert then joined Lakeside Golf Club, serving first as Superintendent and later as General Manager/COO during a sixteen-year tenure marked by significant operational improvements, long-range capital planning, and multiple successful renovation and infrastructure initiatives.
​
Today, Robert applies his proven agronomic background and hands-on project management expertise as a partner with Gradoville & Hertzing Management Group. He specializes in guiding clubs through renovation planning, budgeting, design coordination, contractor selection, and on-site project execution. Using his expertise, Robert helps clubs navigate complex capital projects with clarity, discipline, and a commitment to excellence.

Josh Lewis
Josh Lewis holds a B.S. degree in Horticulture and Turfgrass Management from Oregon State University and brings extensive industry experience highlighted by pivotal roles in numerous PGA and USGA events. Josh’s impressive resume includes working at 7 prestigious top-100 courses, such as Bandon Dunes, Pasatiempo Golf Club, and notably Chambers Bay, where he successfully led agronomic preparations as Superintendent for the 2015 US Open Championship.

Josh has cultivated strong connections within the golf course shaper community, collaborating closely to bring visions to life efficiently and effectively. His expertise extends into exceptional project management, where he excels in value engineering and creative problem solving that maximize project outcomes while remaining cost-conscious.

Josh’s diverse experiences have equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of varying agronomic conditions, allowing him to skillfully adapt to any environment. His meticulous attention to detail and commitment to quality ensure every project exceeds expectations, enhancing both aesthetics and playability.​

Aaron Engelhard
Aaron Engelhard brings over 20 years of professional expertise in Turfgrass and Business Management, honed across prestigious equity golf clubs and multi-course properties. With a foundational career in the renowned golf landscape of Coachella Valley, Aaron has demonstrated outstanding leadership, meticulous attention to detail, PGA tournament preparation, and comprehensive agronomic knowledge.

Currently, Aaron serves as the Director of Agronomy at Braeburn Country Club in Houston, Texas, where he was recruited to oversee Tripp Davis's full-scale restoration of all course playing surfaces, irrigation systems, drainage infrastructure, and more. In 2021, this project earned "Private Club Renovation of the Year" from Golf Inc.

Throughout his Superintendent career, Aaron has seamlessly integrated his passion for golf course construction and agronomic excellence. His extensive experience includes the renovation of 124 greens, hundreds of bunker remodels, new irrigation and pump station installations, and numerous fairway and tee turfgrass conversions.

Lance Sabella
Lance Sabella, CCM, is a seasoned private-club executive with 27 years of leadership experience at some of the nation’s prestigious clubs. A graduate of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, he earned his Certified Club Manager designation through the Club Management Association of America, reflecting his expertise and commitment to industry advancement.
​
Most recently, Lance served as COO of Cherry Hills Country Club, leading more than 300 employees and overseeing all operations and strategic planning. He played a key role in managing over $100 million in capital projects, including a major clubhouse reconstruction, and contributed significantly to the club’s successful hosting of the 2023 U.S. Amateur Championship.

Previously, Lance spent 17 years as General Manager of Lakeside Golf Club, where his leadership earned the Excellence in Club Management® Award. He began his career in the for-profit sector, gaining valuable experience in third-party management and organizational performance. Known for building strong teams and guiding complex initiatives, he now brings his operational and project-leadership expertise to GHMG.
